The CLEVELAND BROWNS. NFL WEEK 17 LOCK.

Given that I just returned home from Scranton, PA recently, after the Christmas holiday, I’m just gonna get right to my picks for NFL Week 17. But first:
Hear ‘COME ALIVE’, ‘Statues’, ‘Erase - Replace’, ‘Summers End’, and ‘Let It Die’ by the ‘FOO FIGHTERS at http://sportsblognflbybubba.podomatic.com
And now to NFL Week 17. I Will Not pick Buffalo over PHILADEPHIA at PHILLY, not the way the EAGLES are playing right now. I also Will Not pick Miami over CINCY at Miami, although this appears to be a popular pick this week. However, I am picking GREEN BAY over the Detroit Lions at Home 23 - 13 as my BONUS-LOCK instead. The Lions have not won in Wisconsin since 1991.
In my 50 - 50 games I’ll take WASHINGTON over Dallas 23 – 20, clinching a playoff spot the winning way. I also like the JETS this week in another typical 5050 matchup, over the Chiefs 24 – 20, also covering the spread, whatever it is.  My Fake Out for NFL Week 17 is DENVER over Minnesota 20 -19, covering the point spread in this one as well. The Vikings choke again! And my Double – Bonus Fake-out is the TEXANS over the Jaguars 20 - 17.
And now, since this next teams playoff hopes will, ‘COME ALIVE’ should the Titans lose to the Colts this Sunday,  My stone cold Leadpipe LOCK for NFL Week 17 is the: CLEVELAND BROWNS over the San Francisco 49ers 26 – 16 (covering the Spread as the favorite, no matter what the point spread is.)
PS. BUB ’S STATS FOR THE WEEK NFL Week 16 Straight up: 11 – 5 REGULAR SEASON LEADPIPE LOCKS: 14 – 3 BONUS LOCKS: 12 – 5 Fake – Outs: 11 – 7 Fifty – Fifties: 23 – 16 Will Nots: 24 – 7 Spreads 17 – 16 Overall Regular-Season Record Straight up: 161 – 79

BEST cd's for 2007 (Part 2) ARIZONA CARDS. LOCK for NFL Week 16.

But now, these are my ‘BEST’ CD’s for 2007 (Part 2)

(11.)  VELVET REVOLVER - LIBERTADThis record is more cohesive than their debut, partially due to the presence of Weiland's old STP producer, Brendan O'Brien.
Hear ‘SHE BUILDS QUICK MACHINES’, ‘Let It Roll’, ‘She Mine’, 'Gravedancer' & ‘The Last Fight’, byVelvet Revolver at http://sportsblognflbybubba.podomatic.com
(12.)  BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - MAGIC  After hearing this, it's hard not to wish that Bruce would record this way all the time. No hillbilly Pete Seger sessions here, this is the E-STREET BAND. (13.)  MILES DAVISTHE COMPLETE ON THE CORNER SESSIONS - The music on this album influenced every single thing that came after it in jazz, rock, soul, funk, hip-hop, electronic and dance music, ambient music, and even popular world music, directly or indirectly.
(14.)  ROGER POWELL FOSSIL POETS - Longtime Utopia fans will surely be pleased with this album that signals Powell's return from the "missing person's list." You can purchase this cd through http://www.rogerpowell.com  (15.) THE WHITE STRIPESICKY THUMP - Icky Thump is just plain heavy, dominated by primal, stomping rock that feels like it's been caged for a very long time and is just now being released.
(16.)  FOUNTAINS OF WAYNETRAFFIC AND WEATHER - Traffic and Weather is hardly a bad record, and should satisfy anyone who has loved Fountains of Wayne before. (17.)  RADIOHEADIN RAINBOWS - In Rainbows will hopefully be remembered as Radiohead's most stimulating synthesis of accessible songs and abstract sounds.
(18.)  BATTLES - MIRRORED - Mirrored is unlike any recording out there at the moment. Astonishingly sophisticated, and doesn't feel pretentious in the least. (19.)  BRANDI CARLISLETHE STORY - The Story fulfills the promise of her remarkable debut, offering resounding confirmation that Carlile is a singular talent.
(20.)  FRANK ZAPPA - BUFFALO - Buffalo is a two-hour-and-20-minute, two-CD set chronicling Zappa's appearance at the Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo , NY , on October 25, 1980. ** (BONUS) U2 - THE JOSHUA TREE - [20th Anniversary 2-CD/DVD] - Makes perfect sense that The Joshua Tree would be the first deluxe reissue as it was the album that made U2 international superstars.
And now to NFL Week 16. I Will Not pick Chicago over GREEN BAY since the Packers are still fighting for Home Field advantage in the playoffs. I also Will Not pick Carolina over DALLAS, for the same reason, do you know what I mean (Lee Michaels). However, I am picking the DETROIT LIONS at home over KC 26 - 16 as my Bonus-LOCK instead. My double BonusLOCK this week is JACKSONVILLE over the Raiders 30 – 13, also covering the spread as the favorite.  In my 50 - 50 games I’ll take Washington over Minnesota 24 – 23, on a last minute field goal. I also like the GIANTS this week in a Classic 50 – 50 matchup, over the Bills 20 – 19, also covering the spread, whatever it is. And my Fake Out for NFL Week 16 is PHILADELPHIA over New Orleans 27-26. You heard me!
And now, since I’m just gonna, ‘LET IT ROLL’ with this next pick,  My stone cold LOCK for NFL Week 16 is the: ARIZONA CARDINALS over the Atlanta Falcons 30 – 16 (covering the Spread as the favorite, no matter what the point spread)

The 'BEST' cd's of 2007 / TAMPA BAY BUCS LOCK for NFL Week 15

But first, These are my TOP 10 'BEST' CD's for 2007 (Part 1)

(1.) SLOAN - NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT This cd has some of the eclecticism of The White Album, yet it flows like Rundgren's deliberate head trip, A Wizard, a True Star…..Hear 'ANOTHER WAY I COULD DO IT', 'ILL Placed Trust', 'People Think They Know Me', and 'Who Taught You To Live Like That', by 'SLOAN' at

(2.) QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE - ERA VULGARIS - One of the best rock & roll records released in 2007 — and the year sure needed the dose of thunder that this album provides.
(3.) NINE INCH NAILS - THE YEAR ZERO - Year Zero is the finest Nine Inch Nails recording since Downward Spiral.
(4.) THE FOO FIGHTERS - ECHOES, SILENCE, PATIENCE & GRACE - A 12-track milestone that showcases and reconciles the band's every strength and sensibility in the most complex and confident Foo Fighters album to date.
(5.) KINGS OF LEON - BECAUSE OF THE TIMES - If Alan Parsons lent the Allman Brothers his spaceship, Because of the Times would be the resulting space odyssey.

(6.) IAN HUNTER - SHRUNKEN HEADS - Ian Hunter has always been a true rock & roll believer. And it's what makes him still capable of delivering an album this timely, this fearless, and this good.

(7.) STEVE VAI - SOUND THEORIES - Sound Theories, Vols. 1-2 seems to be the beginning of a post-guitar-hero career for Vai, and it makes a good start in that direction.

(8.) FEIST - THE REMINDER - The Reminder, will remind you that Leslie Feist's success is no fluke, as the album contains more of her same introspective lyrics and chords.

(9.) STANLEY CLARKE - THE TOYS OF MEN - Clarke and his troops slash and burn in a way that often recalls the early fusion of Return to Forever.

(10.) GARY MOORE - CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET - Close As You Get showcases Moore's exceptional talent as a guitarist and is one of the finest blues and guitar albums released this year.

** (BONUS) THE EAGLES - LONG ROAD OUT OF EDEN - An album meticulously crafted to fit within the band's legacy without tarnishing it….I'll have my Best of the rest for 2007 cd list ( 'Part 2')  next week. (Bob)

And now to NFL Week 15. I Will Not pick Detroit over SAN DIEGO at SAN DIEGO under any circumstances. I also Will Not pick St. Louis over GREEN BAY, at St. Louis, not this year. However, I am picking the CLEVELAND BROWNS at home over the Buffalo Bills 27 - 17 as my Bonus-LOCK instead, also covering the -5.5 points as the favorite. My double Bonus LOCK this week is the VIKINGS over the Bears 26 – 20. In my 50 - 50 games I'll take NEW ORLEANS over Arizona 26 – 20, covering the -3.5 point spread as the favorite and PITTSBURGH over Jacksonville 20 - 17. And my Fake Out for NFL Week 14 is Miami over Baltimore 20-19. Huh?
And now, should I lose on this pick, you'll, 'NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT',  My stone cold LOCK for NFL Week 15 is the: TAMPA BAY BUCS over the Atlanta Falcons 30 – 13 (covering the Spread as the -11.5 point favorite)

BUFFALO & DENVER. LOCKS for NFL Week 14

You know the sun is shining; it's raining in my heart. I don't know what to do since we've been apart. Why don't you tell me, babe, what is going on? …….. They're tearing us apart, They're breaking up my heart. I knew it from the start: Your friends are tearing us apart’. (ERIC CLAPTON)

Hear ‘TEARING US APART’, ‘She’s Waiting’, ‘Before You Accuse Me’ and ‘Bad Love’ by ERIC CLAPTON at http://sportsblognflbybubba.podomatic.com

These song lyrics above kind of remind me of some of the poor coaching decisions made by Joe Gibbs, Sean Payton, and Brian Billick in NFL Week 13, tearing their team’s playoff chances apart. With that being said, which teams playoff hopes will be torn apart this week? We’ll see! And now to my picks for NFL Week 14.  (Again, I must caution you that I also conduct by NFL blog similar to an Eliminator pool, meaning, I can’t pick the same team twice as Lead pipe LOCKS during the regular season. Therefore, the majority of my Lead pipe LOCKS from now on may be teams with losing records).
I Will Not pick Carolina over JACKSONVILLE at JACKSONVILLE even though the Panthers play better on the road. I’m also taking the
